Audit Committee

English Partnerships’ Audit Committee is a formally constituted sub committee of the Non- Executive Board.

The Committee has two prime functions:

1. to assist the Board in discharging its duty for ensuring the adequacy and effectiveness of risk management and internal control; and
2. to assist the Board in discharging its duty to ensure that financial statements comply with any statutory and administrative requirements and for ensuring the highest standards of propriety and accountability for the use of public funds.

The Committee operates to standards defined in the Audit Committee Handbook published by HM Treasury.

Committee membership

The Committee membership is composed entirely of Non-Executive Directors, and their appointment to the Committee is approved by the Non-Executive Board.
